Webtrader

The WebTrader is DEGIRO’s own platform for investing.

With DEGIRO, there is no additional software to download when you start investing. Once you have an account, you simply use your username and password to log in to your WebTrader. The WebTrader is available in your browser as well as a standalone app for Android and iOS.

Yes, this is possible. You can download the DEGIRO-app for both the Android as the iOS operating systems. Furthermore, you are always able to use the MobileTrader on your browser.
In the top right hand corner of the WebTrader you will find the search box titled Search for a product. This will allow you to find a specific stock or another financial instrument. You can search for a stock by inserting its name, Ticker symbol, or ISIN code in the search box.
Products can be found using the ticker code, as long as the ticker code contains more than three characters. In due course other ticker codes will be added to the platform.
ISIN stands for International Securities Identification Number and identifies tradable securities by their unique code. This is the safest way of searching for products, because it minimises the chances of buying the wrong product. Different listings of the same product will have the same ISIN.

We receive our price feed data from a provider, VWD. You can see where the price feed is coming from by rolling over the coloured icon next to the product name. These include:

  • R: Real-time feed from the respective exchange. This is the default for Euronext exchanges for all non-Custody profiles. This service is also available for additional fee for most other exchanges. Please see our Fee Schedule and Custody Fee Schedule for details.
  • CX: Real time feed from the Chi-X Europe exchange. This is the default for most large cap LSE listed products.
  • 10: Feed delivered from the respective exchange on a 10 minute delay. This is the default for some US listed derivatives.
  • 15: Feed delivered from the respective exchange on a 15 minute delay. This is the default for most ETFs, LSE AIM products, and US securities if you have not traded on US markets.
  • BT: Real-time feed delivered from BATS US. This price feed becomes available for no additional charge for clients trading on the US stock exchanges. Further information can be found here.
  • ED: End of day price from the relevant exchange.

The time stamp besides this icon updates when the last traded price is updated.

For a full description of the real-time data prices see our website. Additional details can be found on our Fee Schedule and Custody Fee Schedule.
We do not currently offer price feeds for some exchanges including (but not limited to): Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. If a price feed is missing, you can still place orders on these products but please obtain the price information from a third party data provider.

Your WebTrader will be displayed in the base currency of the country of reference for your DEGIRO account. For an account on our UK platform, the base currency will be GBP.

On the Market tab, you will see various financial information about what is occurring in markets. This information includes:

  • Price and charts of global indices
  • Winners and losers of different stock exchanges
  • Currency exchange data feeds
  • News stories

You can add a product to your list of favourites by clicking on the star icon next to the product name. A specific product has been added to your list as soon as the icon has turned black. The Day Difference is calculated based on the previous close related to the current trading price of a single financial instrument. This is displayed as a percentage change.

The Day Result on the other hand will also take into account effects such as currency fluctuations and fees if you had purchased the financial instruments that day. This will be displayed in the base currency of your account, even for instruments denominated in a foreign currency.

The Result of a position consists of the financial instrument price difference in addition to all dividends, transaction fees, and currency effects. Please be aware that this is the total profit/loss for the current position as well as all previous positions in this instrument.
